Our Story
Viksit Youth was born from a simple belief: young people have the power to transform their communities. Founded in 2018 by a group of passionate students, we started with a single homeless outreach program and a handful of volunteers.
What began as weekend food distribution quickly grew into a movement. We realized that youth weren't just the leaders of tomorrow—they were ready to lead today. Our founders saw gaps in social services and opportunities for youth engagement, and decided to bridge both.
Today, Viksit Youth has grown into a nationwide network of over 500 young volunteers working across 50+ communities. We've expanded from homeless outreach to education, food security, environmental initiatives, and youth leadership development. But our core mission remains the same: empowering youth to be agents of positive change.
Every program we run, every volunteer we train, and every life we touch is a testament to what young people can achieve when given the opportunity, support, and belief in their potential.
